"I don't remember you."

From Loani I have been watching Ms Sue Allen comment here and then I received her Diamond Quilt photo and, well, embarrassingly, could not remember her. In my usual frank manner, I told her so, and then it occurred to me that RE-introductions might be as valid as new introductions. This is Sue's lovely response....

From Sue Allen Hello Loani, I’m not surprised you don’t remember me! I haven’t been around much the last few years. Just when I decided to come back to join you all on Tuesdays, we had this Co-Vid interruption. I’m waiting with bated breath.

This past year, I have been living in Buderim with my partner. See, there is still romance after 70 and I had been on my own for some years after my husbands death.

Prior to that, I see-sawed between my home in Cooroy and Vienna. 6 months in each place, for 3 years. I used to pop in to quilting while I was back then off (and forgotten 😂) for half the year. Lots of opportunity to travel solo in Europe. I loved it. All the while I was housekeeping and child minding for my daughter who was on posting in Vienna. Poor me!

In a previous life, I lived at Tewantin, was heavily into gardening and quilting. In 2005, I retired from a career in education. I taught from Pre school to University and English as a Second Language over a long and happy working life.

I started quilting in about 1990 when I lived in Gympie. Joined Wallace House in 2005. People come and go and for a long time I knew everyone. However, there are lots of lovely people now that I have met only briefly or not at all. Yes, I’ve been around for a while and I’m looking forward to meeting you all again soon.
