Yesterday 12 of you came to mine to pick up your "Life in Patches" full size portraits and story posters. That was the simple criteria for the invitation. And you stayed for morning tea and a little show and tell. Any excuse I say. I'm sure I'll find another fab excuse any day soon for another 12. There was a lot of joy in the room. Well on the verandah.
That strange person on the left there, is Margaret's daughter, Emily. That very familiar person on the right, Maree, made this fabulous quilt. The colours are to die for.
And here is Sue with her kazillion piece quilt top. Again, another feat of colour genius.
My improv quilt so close to being finished. Just boarder quilting to do. For Julian's granddaughter, Marlo, 5 years old. So lovely to have a little one to make pink things for. I call it my Jackson Pollack. It DOES look like I just threw the fabric at it.
On the verandah.
Jill's portrait and post was sooo big and heavy she needed her sister Jan to assist her carry it home. And well, Jan is an Associate Member of the WHQ.
